Hi, just wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed looking at this blog, it's fascinating to see how it has changed so thank you for doing this! I would love to see more pics of the school before it was demolished and replaced, I went there as a child. I wonder if anyone has any?
Hi Gee, glad you found something of interest. I have added a new section on Glenfield County Primary.
Just discovered your page. Thanks a million. I went to the infant school thenthe junior school on Kirby Road. I'm 73 and live in Canada now. My grandfather (Arthur Eaves) is in the photograph you showed of some sort of celebration. I knew many of the surnames from my childhood and schooldays.
Hi Carmel, I'm glad that you found my site helpful. Thank you for your kind comment.
The manor farm pic is quite early. It shows the tracks in the dump before the trees had grew! I spent a wonderful childhood playing in the dump as did many kids from the Dominion estate and park drive/Ellis close. Underground dens, making dams poddy 123 and who can forget the big hill!!?? Great place to be a kid.
Happy days indeed.

Saved as a favorite, I love your blog!
